More Winter

Well, we blinked and now it's February!  January was bleak around here.  We had 20 days straight of no sun and what Boise folk refer to as "inversion" which translates to utter lack of vitamin D and your kids driving you crazy indoors!  My sis in law was kind enough to take some Valentines Day pictures of the kiddos last week and they turned out so cute! Her website is here!  Next month we register Kylie for Kindergarten!  Yikes!  Exciting and sad at the same time.  I'm ready for her to branch out and learn new things and meet new friends, but not ready for her to be gone half a day.    Ethan is almost fully potty trained.  He's been using the potty since before Christmas, but can't seem to master the #2 on the potty.  He will go days until he can't avoid it anymore.  Pretty miserable.We can't wait for spring to get here!

Christmas Time!

Fall flew by and now it's only a few more days til Christmas!  Snow is on the ground, treats are being made, gifts being sewn, and the kids are SO excited!  We were able to go see Santa at Cabela's (our favorite place to see Santa) and the kids were in love with him.  Even Ethan wanted to stay and talk to him.  They were able to tell him their wishes and he chatted with them about being good kids. Kylie really would like an American Girl Doll for Christmas and Ethan would like a tablet and a wallet.  I think Santa can swing bringing the kiddos those items. ;)  Time to wrap up the last couple last minute items on my list and let the celebrating begin!

Preschool

Kylie started preschool this year! I can't believe she's in school already! We found an in-home preschool that we love. Kylie is in a class of 3 kids which is awesome.  She's can already read a little bit and can write all her letters.  She has such a wonderful time each time she is there.  I'm not sure if I'm ready to send her off the kindergarten next year. :(  Although, I do like the 2 hour break twice a week for just mommy and Ethan time!

it's almost October?!

I have definitely slacked on blogging!  Summer flew by and now we are in fall already!  End of the summer we traveled to southern California to attend a cousin's wedding and then headed down to Disneyland with Jared's mom.  It was SO hot and humid, definitely never going again in hot weather months!  The kids had fun and I think have had their fill of Disneyland experiences for a couple years.  Kylie got to meet the rest of the princesses that she missed the first time around.  Ethan just lifted his shirt to every princess and then proceeded to hug them.  He is a ladies man for sure!  I have a lot more pics from the last month,  but I better break it up!  We had such a fun summer and look forward to the fun we will have this fall!  Bring on the apple picking, pumpkin, patches, and hay rides!

Lake Fun

Having a boat to play on is the best! :) We love taking our boat out when we can, which sadly this summer due to schedule conflicts with both Jared and I it hasn't been as much as we like. When we have taken it out, we've made the most of it. The kids love going to the lake to swim, fish, and build sand castles. Ethan even took a 2+ hour nap last time on the boat! It was amazing!

4th of July!

Here is the last picture dump from our trip to Oregon! We celebrated my birthday and Grandma's (hers is on the 4th). We all loaded up and went to watch Despicable Me 2 to beat the heat before the festivities. Second year in a row Kylie was not a fan of the fireworks and wanted to go inside and watch from the couch.   I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th!
